North Carolina Horse Council Grant Awarded to Study Potential Viral Causes of Equine Diarrhea

The Sheahan lab has been awarded a grant to study novel viruses that could be associated with equine diarrhea in North Carolina. We will be using clinical fecal samples to perform next generation sequencing to identify candidate viruses. This is funded by the NC Horse Council, a strong supporter of the equine industry and research in North Carolina. We are so excited to work on this project!!
