North Carolina Horse Council Grant Awarded to Study Potential Viral Causes of Equine Diarrhea

Morris Animal Foundation grant is awarded to study drug treatments for diarrhea in horses

The Sheahan lab has been awarded a MAF First award for a two-year period. The grant is titled “Identifying CFTR Inhibition as a Treatment for Equine Diarrhea Using an in vitro Patient-Derived Organoid Platform” and will form the basis of Dr. Haywood’s PhD research.
